The regeneration of Churnet Works includes the provision of new employment and retail facilities, adding to the town’s existing business capacity and creating jobs for local people.
The new business units will re-house some of Churnet Works’ existing companies, ensuring they continue to trade in new and improved facilities.
Vehicular access to the foodstore and business units will be provided via a new roundabout off Macclesfield Road, where the petrol station will also be located, ensuring easy access for all residents.

The proposed development features a variety of new houses and apartments to accommodate the growth of the town within an existing site.

The residential accommodation will consist of:
•34 houses
•A dedicated car parking space for each house
•45 apartments
•Ample car parking spaces for apartment tenants
The new homes will consist of 3 & 4 bedroom houses and 1 & 2 bedroom apartments. The residential areas will be sympathetically landscaped with public open spaces to promote community spirit and provide a safe environment for children.
Vehicular access will be via a dedicated junction off Abbey Green Road
