

The regeneration of Churnet Works will create jobs for local people, add to Leeks’ existing shopping offer, cater to the growth of the community and improve the town’s capacity for business and trade.
The development will ensure Leek remains attractive and prosperous and continues to compete commercially with neighbouring towns.

The listed buildings along Macclesfield Road and Mill Street, as well as the bridge on Abbey Green Road, will be retained – with their settings enhanced by new landscaped areas on the proposed development site, including attractive river walks and green open spaces.
